Vegetable dyes are preferred for usage during pregnancy to chemical dyes. Chemical dyes have certain chemicals that are absorbed through the scalp or your skin.

There is no evidence to show that this is safe or that it is unsafe.

You could avoid using it completely in the first trimester.

Later on, as mentioned earlier, vegetable dyes or henna could also be an option to consider. Another option you can consider is streaking, highlighting or painting your hair. This only involves the hair absorbing the dyes and not your skin.
